“This confirmed my past experiences with Hop On Hop Off- it’s a great concept, but in practice it doesn’t deliver. Too much time wasted is waiting for the next ride. If you stay on the loop without getting off you can get an overview of the city- but if you get off be prepared to wait- depending on traffic, amount of passengers etc. I think it’s far better to take public transportation, train, buses or uber/taxis. I paid over $50 for one stop on the HOHO and ended up taking a taxi back. Lesson learned. Never again.”

“We enjoyed the tram ride, but the hop on hop off bus experience was disappointing. Traffic for the bus route was so heavy that much of our time was spent waiting for traffic to clear rather than seeing sights. Additionally, the audio guide on the bus was skipping a lot such that we would miss much of the audio presentation. As mentioned, the tram ride was very enjoyable and the tram driver was especially informative and fun.”

“The bus transfer from ship to first stop on red route took 45 minutes making the whole red loop take 3 hours. This was unacceptably boring with no commentary and the route was very repetitive. The boat trip was very good however.”

“Firstly, finding the ticket booth was a nightmare, there were no clear directions, just an address, visitors have no clue where to start. Then you find a booth they send you to another, with no clear directions, just pure chaos. They had interpreters in several languages which was good, but you could hardly hear so taking the photos while we sail was the best part of this trip. Not a good experience”
